Few Genealogy

Welcome to the Few Family Tree.

The Few Family are thought to have originated in Wiltshire, UK. and this tree starts with a Few (whose first name is unknown) born about 1550 in Bishops Canning, Wiltshire, UK. The family later divides into two distinct sections - those who remained in the UK (mostly in Wiltshire), and those who 'left home' and settled in America. This latter group started with William Few 1599, whose son Richard, a Quaker, purchased 500 acres of land from William Penn in what was to become Pennsylvania. He sailed to the 'new world' in William Penn's ship in 1681/2. From there the Few's spread to many of the American States, with one being a signatory of the American constitution.

With nearly 12,000 individuals in my family tree it has become unmanageable for a single web site. Therefore it has been split into a number of smaller sites based on major family groups. This means that inevitably there is some overlapping of surnames.

The names that interest you may also be found in any of these sub-trees, so it's probably worth checking on the Index pages -
