In 1881 he was living in Erlestoke with his wife Ann and sons Sidney and Cecil. He was 54 years old and a Blacksmith.
In 1891 he was living at 'Forge & Cottage', Erlestoke. He was a Blacksmith, aged 64 and a widower. He was living with son Sidney and his wife Harriett, and grandchildren Ada, Percy and John.

In 1841 he was living in Potterne, Wiltshire with his wife and 6 children. He was 40 years old and a Shoe Maker.
In 1851 he was living in Potterne with his wife and children William, Samuel, Henry and Thomas. He was 56 years old and a Cordwinder (Cordwainer).
In 1861 he was living in Potterne with his wife and son Samuel. He was 46 years old and a Boot and Shoe maker. Also living with them was Lot Star, born 1850, an apprentice.

In 1841 she was living in Potterne, Wiltshire with her husband and 6 children. She was 40 years old.
In 1851 she was living in Potterne with her husband and children William, Samuel, Henry and Thomas. She was 57 years old.
In 1861 she was living in Potterne with his wife and son Samuel. She was 67 years old. Also living with them was Lot Star, born 1850, an apprentice. 3

In 1841 she was living in the High Street, Erlestoke, Wiltshire with her 3 sisters in the home of Ann Holloway aged 75 (relationship currently not known) and Mary Holloway aged 35 (possibly an Aunt).
In 1861 she was living in Worton, Wiltshire with her husband and children James, Francis and Charles. She was 34 Years old.
In 1871 she was living in Erlestoke with her husband and 6 sons. She was 34 years old and described as a Blacksmith's Wife.
In 1881 she was living in Erlestoke with her husband and sons Sidney and Cecil. She was 54 years old.
3 Mary STONE (1853- ) [7116]. Born 1853, Urchfont, Wiltshire.
In 1861 she was living at Bottom, Erchfont, Wiltshire with her parents, 3 sisters and an Aunt (mother's sister). She was 8 years old and a Scholar.
In 1871 she was living at Erlestoke Park, the home of Simon Watson Taylor aged 60 and his wife Hannah aged 52. He was from St.James, Piccadilly, London and she was from Haddingtonshire (?), Scotland and the daughter of the Marquis of Tweeddale & Lady Montagu. They had 9 children and 20 servants. Mary Stone was 19 years old and a Dairy Maid from Urchfont.
In 1881 she was living at the Vicarage at Stanton St.Bernard, Wiltshire, the home of Clement Sherard, Curate of the parish, and his wife Maria. Mary was 26 years old, unmarried and a Cook.
In 1891 she was living Vine Cottage, New Park Street, Devizes, Wiltshire with her husband, 3 daughters and a son. She was 38 years old.
In 1901 she was living at 2 Bell Row, Devizes, Wiltshire with son Arthur and daughters Bessie and Florrie. She was 45 years old and married, but her husband isn't listed. She was from Erchfont (note the spelling). The next property - 1 Bell Row, was used for Aerated Water Manufacturing.
